Był wieczór 7 lipca 1990 roku, przepiękny księżyc w pełni, kiedy sen stał się rzeczywistością. W jednym miejscu w antycznej części Rzymu spotkało się trzech wielkich tenorów: Careras, Domingo i Pavarotti i zrobili to co najlepiej im wychodzi, zaśpiewali wspaniałe arie operowe dla 6 000 szczęśliwych ludzi oglądających koncert na żywo i dla 800 milionów przed telewizorami. Tenorom towarzyszyło ponad dwustu muzyków pod dyrekcją Zubina Mehty. Wspólne wykonanie kilku utworów uznawane jest jako coś co przechodzi do historii i długo pozostaje w pamięci. Specjalna wersja Deluxe wydana w tym roku uzupełniona jest o drugi dysk na którym znalazł się materiał dokumantalny, zapowiedzi płyt (DVD Collection, Pavarotti & Friends, The Last Tenor), fotogaleria oraz wersja karaoke utworu O Sole Mio. |
